Dear Examined Lifers,

We hope you are safe and well during this strange, often difficult time. We, at the Carver College of Medicine, are finding ourselves turning to our favorite writers as one way to cope with this experience.

This note serves as a reminder that submissions for the 2020 Examined Life Journal, to be published this coming October, will close on Friday, May 1. Please consider sending your work — we would love to read your words, particularly now.

Also, a brief note to our Examined Life Conference presenters and attendees: our plans for the 2020 conference are unchanged as of now. We hope to see you all October 8-10 in Iowa City but circumstances change quickly these days and we will keep you updated if anything needs to be adjusted. In the meantime, we will publish a preliminary conference schedule with more details in the coming week.
